Memoirs of a Chinesehitman

First of all, I would greet everyone hello. I’m back after a long and suffering days I’ve spent without my Asashi. I know it is something hard for all of you to believe as how a good pc technology such as Asashi could broke down. It happened about 1 and a half month ago. Let us not be suspicious and condemned the power and quality of Asashi as this is just an unfortunate mishap which can happen to anyone who owns a PC especially those who own a poorly manufactured computer such as Acer, Dell, Hewlett- Packard (HP) and many more. Believe in the ability of Asashi which can bring ultimate joy and countless hours of entertainment to your lives. It is a highly complex and sophisticated pc. Take mine for example. My Asashi went to the PC hospital for nearly 2 months because it is too advance and complex for amateurs to handle. Therefore, we must advocate and have confidence in Asashi.

For your information, I have been working as a tutor during the holiday as a tutor. When I mentioned my job, don’t misunderstand me because I know that majority of you will think that, “What’s that difficult of being a tutor especially when you are teaching pre-school and primary students? Their syllabus is the most easiest to teach compared to older students and they are just kids who will be afraid and respect you just because you are older and appears fierce”. Well, let me tell you something. You’re completely misunderstood the job as a tutor. In fact, it is the other way around. Some of the youngsters and toddlers whom you call cute and obedient are actually monsters and demons responsible for bringing peer pressure and stress to the teachers around you but don’t misunderstand me again as I said some of them not all of them. There are logical explanations why I said this. As all of you know, children are born with an inquisitive mind and a curious desire to explore and learn the things around them. Parents have the responsibility to make sure that their children develop an interest in reading and learning educational things. Unfortunately, some of the parents use the wrong technique to guide their children causing them to develop an interest in playing instead of studies. If any of you teach this kind of pupil you will have a day of headache and an increase in your adrenalin. Fortunately, most of my current students are quite obedient. Among the students I like the most are Aqil and Pony. Aqil is currently 6 years old. He is a bit fat but the important thing is he is obedient and fun to play with. Pony is not only cute but a smart girl as well. She is only 5 years old but can catch up faster than the pupils older that her. The only thing I hate of teaching children is because I need to act like a child at certain times, sing and dance (actually I just clapped my hands instead of dancing) with them just to make learning more fun. Besides teaching toddlers, I also teach pupils from standard 1 until standard 6. There is not much to talk about them as at this age they are usually very quiet and boring. Another good thing about being a tutor is the good relationship I have with the pupils. Some of my students even became friends with me. Two of my students even bought me a pen after they heard that I got straight A’s for my PMR.

Even so, not all of the days during the school holiday is a living hell. Among the good days is Christmas. Like most of the Buddhist out there, I seldom celebrate Christmas but this holiday is totally a new experience and a sweet remembrance that I would remember every Christmas. Try to guess where have I been for Christmas. Mr.Ong’s house!!! You should see his house!!! It’s like a palace with a beautiful garden and decorations all around the house. The interior of his house is just too beautiful to be expressed by speech. Just look at his furniture!!! His chairs are made from premium imported Ross wood, decorated with genuine pearls which is somehow glued into the wood. He also owns imported paintings from China as well as a big stone with bright indigo crystals inside it. Then, there’s also the big cushy tiger which appears so real, crystal lamps, an antique clock and a cabinet used to store expensive liquors and alcoholic drinks such as red wines, vodkas, martinis and beers. His house is located somewhere near Ampang Point. You should easily recognized his house by the night because his house is the brightest compared to the bungalows of the famous corrupted Datuks, Datins, Ministers and popular artists. Ok, enough of the long description of his house and let us continue with the things that we did during that Christmas. On that day, Jian Shi and I went home at 6.00p.m after we had finished our duties. I felt so anxious to see Mr.Ong’s house for the first time and to check whether the rumours about his house are true or not. When I returned home at about 6.15p.m, I quickly had a nice cool bath to clean myself of the dirt and odour after a long and stressful day of work. Then, I just collapse at my bed to rest for a while before getting prepared for the great party. At eight, Mr.Ong give us accommodation to his house by his Toyota Harrier. Only Jian Shi and I went arrived first since we had to lend him a hand for the preparation of the party. When we arrived at there, the first word that came out of our mouths was “Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh”. Frankly speaking, his house was like a palace for the Sultans to live. Unfortunately, it was drizzling at that time. So, we had to for the rain to stop because there wouldn’t be any barbeque if the rain extinguished the fire. Then, Mr.Ong told us to wait for him as he went to fetch the others which consist of Lily, Yan Xiong, Yan Yu, Pei Li, Joan and the uninvited Jeffrey. While he went to fetch them, Miss Lim (Mr.Ong’s wife) invited us to join her for a little dinner to fill our stomach while waiting for the drizzle to stop. When everyone had arrived, Lily played the piano to entertain us while still patiently waiting for the rain to stop. When I heard her playing the piano, I was startled to hear the calming and soothing music that she played. It made me really envy her skills. If I had money, I would also wanted to learn to play piano but sadly I do not have enough financial income to do so. At 10p.m, the drizzle finally stopped and we unpacked our barbeque sets to get started. We lighted the charcoal and maintained it as a small fire as we did not want our food to be scorched. Next, we placed the foods on top of the wire gauze and wait for it to be cooked. There lots of mouth-watering foods such as salmon fish (non of us have the chance to taste it), “kamung” fish, satays (it is special because it has no fat in the middle and the meat is very tender and juicy) and hotdogs. While waiting for the foods to be cooked, someone insert a CD containing party songs such as Chicken Little and Crazy Frog as well as Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells and etc. Then, the music gave a sudden shock towards Jeffrey. He started to react weirdly and began to dance with music. Not want to miss that golden opportunity, U Vin quickly record the dance into the camcorder he is holding (but he only recorded the second time Jeffrey danced, the first dance is longer and funnier). It was certainly a laughable moment. Not long after the dance, he suddenly underwent a sudden emotional change from a happy face to a “boo-woo” face. We did not know what caused the sudden change. May be, the dance triggered a sad memory from his past. Most of us thought that it might because he failed his examination while others thought that he was scolded by his elder sister(Joan) for his childish behaviour. After trying to coax and calm his feelings, he said that he is worried about his taekwando test that will be held next week (Ceeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh). So, it was just a waste of time and energy to coax him after all. That is not end of his crying episode. He later cried for the second time when her elder sister forbid him from eating too much (quaaaaahhhhh, I’ll tell mami when we get home). After feasting on the delicious meal, it finally came to the most unforgettable scene of the party which is trying different kinds of alcoholic drinks for the first time in our lives. Until today, I still can’t understand the pleasure of drinking these kinds of stuff. All of us were given a little of different samples. Mr.Ong told us to sip it slowly and enjoy the delightful taste of the expensive red wine (yaaaakkkkhhhh), vodka (passion fruit flavour), martini (coffee flavour) and beer. Things were different for Jeffrey. He drank the glass of wine in one gulp as though he was drinking water like in the movies. His actions then transformed him into a mad bull on rampage. He kept on pulling U Vin’s arms like it were drumsticks attached to a roasted chicken (yam-yam). The alcohol also had some effects on the rest of us too. Our faces were blushing like red tomatoes which are freshly plucked from the trees. Then, came the most terrible thing of all …………………………… (Sorry, this part is censored due its undignified content). At 2.00a.m, the party was dismissed and we went home in Mr.Ong’s Harrier. Unfortunately for Jian Shi, he forgotten to bring his keys and had to scream to wake his family members from their beauty sleep.

While everyone was happily celebrating New Year, I wasn’t quite eager to celebrate New Year instead. Finally, the most terrifying year of all had arrived. It’s the year which I had to take the burden and responsibility in making a vital decision that would change my life forever. I had to choose whether I should enter Science or Account stream. There are many elements that are needed to be taken into considerations such as dream of being luxurious, job satisfaction, and the burden of entering such stream. Neither Science nor Account stream is perfect. Both have their pros and cons. If I choose Science, I have to sacrifice most of time to revise which I don’t have due to my part time work. This will be a burden to me but the career options may provide me with the job satisfactory I want since Science is an interesting subject compared to Account which is so boring and dull. In real life, I would have a more diverse path to choose if I enter Account stream. The possibility of me hitting a jackpot if I enter the competitive business world is also high. The chance of finding a job and receiving high wages after years of working experience and getting promoted is quite promising. Still, that comes with a price as I have to sit for a series of test before getting my degree. Besides, being indulged in the Accountancy is very stressful as I will have to face numbers and computers the whole day. Last but not least is my financial problem and whether I will get a scholarship or not. If I am unable to get a scholarship or a sponsorship, I will end up wasting my 14 years of learning and gaining knowledge. If I selected the wrong stream, I will also end up as a low wage earner or worst of all, unemployed. Instead if I selected the right course, I might end up being wealthy and have a happy family. Why life can’t be more scrupulous and fair? Why can’t everyone be rich and live in the world of luxury without going to so much trouble to study and hunt for a job, or finding the right business? TELL ME WHY!!!

This year, I decided to do something very drastic that I might regret. I think Pei Wen and I should just be normal friends after 2 months of consideration and thinking. First of all is the communication gap that we have between us. We barely can find anything that we have in common to talk about except for our studies. Next are the differences that we have. Her hobbies are watching Astro and movies, listening to Cantonese and Chinese songs, and playing SMS and miss calls. I am a totally different person from her as my hobbies are playing computer games, surfing the net, reading newspapers (only ‘The Star’), typing my blogspot, do some research on the latest hardware (especially graphic cards) and software and chatting via MSN Messenger. Let me ask all of you. Do you see anything in common between us? The answer is almost none. Another factor is her attitude. I’ll tell you a story. Last year, just a day before school ended, Pei Wen and I had decided to meet at school just for a look at each other before the holiday started. Beside us, some of our friends also came to school. As usual, we just can’t seem to find anything that we talk about. So, after a while, we decided to do our own things. I played Yu-Gi-Oh cards with some of my friends at the back of the class while she played Chinese chess and Poker cards at the front. I didn’t join the since I was not that familiar with Nam Yen and the others. Another thing is I don’t gamble. At around 10.30a.m, my friends and I started to get bored. So, we went over there just to have a look. I even played for a moment but I don’t really felt happy even though I won some money. Instead, I felt lonely and sad. She on the other hand, looked happy and seemed to enjoy herself. After a game of Poker, we played some kind of game that involves putting our hands together. She played that game and put her hands on top of other boys’ hands without feeling ashamed of herself. Then, she played some kind of “tepuk-tepuk” that was once played she was in primary school. At time, there were all kinds of unhappy feelings in my heart. That was also the time that I decided we were not meant to be together. Since that day, I rarely talk to her anymore. Although we are of the same class, I ignored her as though I have never met her before. It is a tough job trying to forget her. Even though I reacted in such a way, I still have feelings for her.

THE END.

One of the best and longest post I have ever read. Talking about christmas in penang, its so damn boring there, just like a normal day.

Studying in science stream is very very hard than account stream, but account is not boring at all, instead I feel like science stream is even more boring, the class is so quite~~.

Talking about Asashi, stop saying that Asashi is the best, and don't tell me to accept it as a fact. Asashi has been brought to court for software piracy, and don't say this is yet another unfortunate mishap, Asashi being brought to court by Microsoft. Stop saying how good is it, Asashi is just yet another ordinary PC, even a novice know how to fix it.

Chinese new year is just around the corner, at the corner of calender...

P/S: when do you want your invitation? and when do you pay your TMNet's bill? I think that your father has been cutting ang pow money (means less money in the ang pow) in order to pay your TMNet bill.
